Box Score

TOWSON, Md. (Sept. 8) – The Waynesburg University women's tennis team had its road match at Goucher cut short due to rain on Saturday. However, enough of the match was completed for the results to be considered official and the Gophers picked up a 5-0 victory.

The duo of sophomore Emily Meier and freshman Sarah Reyes put up a terrific fight at third doubles before falling 8-5 for the Yellow Jackets (1-2). The match was the season opener for Goucher, which moves to 1-0.

The Yellow Jackets get back to action on Tuesday, Sept. 11, when they host Bethany College for both their home and Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opener.
