GREENVILLE, Pa. (Oct. 12) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team competed in a Presidents' Athletic Conference tri-match at Thiel on Saturday afternoon. The Jackets dropped both contests in straight sets.
The host Tomcats (2-19, 2-6) took the opener against the Jackets (6-16, 1-9) in straight sets by scores of 25-18, 25-16 and 25-13.

Mabel Culp led the Jackets attack with a team-leading six kills. Sophomore
Jessica Dorazio chipped in a team-best 15 digs in the loss to Thiel. Freshman setter
Morgan Newbauer recorded 11 assists for the Jackets.
The Yellow Jackets ended a long day of competition by falling to the Titans by the set scores of 25-16, 25-16, 25-21. Once again, it was Culp who led the Jackets with a team-high six kills. Junior
Tori Kramer and senior
Sam Styche chipped in five kills each. Newbauer added 19 assists to her day, while Dorazio posted 13 digs.
Waynesburg will be back in action when it hosts Saint Vincent for the team's annual "Dig Pink" match on Tuesday, Oc.t 15. The Bearcats and Jackets will square off at 7 p.m.
