WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 12) – It was quite a productive afternoon at John F. Wiley Stadium for the Waynesburg University women's soccer team. Off the field, the Yellow Jackets hosted the 5
th annual Kick Pancreatic Cancer event, in which all proceeds are donated to Pancreatic Cancer research. On the field, the Jackets (5-6, 2-1) earned a 3-0 victory in Presidents' Athletic Conference action against Thiel College (6-6, 0-3).

Erica Nordlund buried two of the team's three goals and the Jacket defense limited Thiel to just five shots as Waynesburg posted its second-straight 3-0 shutout in conference play. Nordlund opened the scoring when she took a pass from junior teammate
Emily Mullady in the 29
th minute and drilled it home for her third goal of the season.
Less than 10 minutes later, senior
Missy Coleman tallied a score in the 37
th minute to make it 2-0 Jackets. It was Coleman's first goal of the season, which was assisted upon by sophomore
Karleigh Murphey. Nordlund put the finishing touches on the win by beating the Thiel goalkeeper in the 57
th minute to bring about the final score of 3-0. Mullady added a second assist on the final

Ciara Scott stopped all four shots on goal she faced for the victory. Waynesburg held a 26-to-five advantage in shots and a nine-to-nothing advantage in corner kicks.
Waynesburg looks to make it three-straight PAC wins when the Jackets travel to Bethany on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Match time is set for 2:30 p.m.
