Volleyball squares off against Saint Vincent

Waynesburg suffers 3-0 loss to Bearcats

WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 15) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team played host to Saint Vincent College in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match on Tuesday night that also served as the Yellow Jackets' annual Dig Pink game, which raises money for cancer research. The Jackets dropped a 3-0 decision to the Bearcats.
 
The hosts (6-17, 1-10) fell by the set scores of 25-9, 25-17 and 25-23 and were led offensively by the senior combination of Amanda Silay and Mabel Culp, who tallied five kills each. Sophomore Jessica Dorazio paced the Jackets with 15 digs, while freshman Morgan Newbauer chipped in 15 assists on the night.
 
Waynesburg returns to the court on Thursday, Oct. 17, when the Jackets travel to Bethany to face the PAC-leading Bison. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
