Box Score WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 11) - The Yellow Jackets won the first set of their match against Franciscan on Wednesday night at the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse, but couldn't maintain their advantage on their way to a 3-2 loss to the Barons.
Waynesburg (5-6) took the opening set by the score of 25-22, before Franciscan (3-6) bounced back with a 25-19 triumph in set two. The home team took its final lead after winning set three 25-22. Franciscan sealed up the win by taking set four (25-23) and five (15-9).
The Jackets return to action on Saturday, Sept. 14, when they travel to Geneva for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) tri-match against the host Golden Tornadoes and Grove City College. Waynesburg is scheduled to face the home team at 11 a.m., before tangling with the Wolverines at 1 p.m.
