Women's tennis opens up PAC play

Yellow Jackets beat Bethany 9-0

WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 12) – The Waynesburg University women's tennis team got Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play off to a strong start on Thursday against Bethany College. After waiting out a 40-minute rain delay, the Yellow Jackets picked up a 9-0 victory over the Bison at Waynesburg's home court.
 
Sophomore Rachel Klemash, junior Alyssa Daniel, senior Markie Gustafson, sophomore Sarah Reyes and junior Madison DuBrock all posted combined 2-0 records in singles and doubles play for Waynesburg (4-1, 1-0).
 
The Jackets will try to make it two conference wins in a row on Saturday, Sept. 14, when they travel to New Wilmington, Pa. to face Westminster. Start time is scheduled for 11 a.m.
