Volleyball takes part in PAC tri-match

Waynesburg falls to Geneva and Grove City to open conference play

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 BEAVER FALLS, Pa. (Sept. 14) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team opened up Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play with a tri-match that featured the host team from Geneva College and Grove City College. The Yellow Jackets fell in both of its matches by the final score of 3-0.
 
Waynesburg (5-8, 0-2) opened its day with a 25-19, 25-16, 25-19 setback at the hands of Geneva (7-2, 3-0). Senior middle hitter Mabel Culp put up a team-high six kills against the Golden Tornadoes. Sophomore Jess Dorazio racked up 16 digs, while senior Natalie Ranallo recorded a squad-high 12 assists.
 
The Jackets' day ended with a 25-23, 25-18, 25-16 loss at hands of the Wolverines (5-5, 2-1).
 
Waynesburg returns to road PAC play on Wednesday, Sept. 18, with a trip to Chatham University. Start time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
