Match Results WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 9) – The Waynesburg University women's tennis team hosted La Roche College for a non-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets used strong play in the doubles contests to pull out a 5-4 win.

Alyssa Daniel got things going with a solid 8-2 win at first doubles. Another junior/senior combo,
Emily McDonold and
Ellen Limback, added an 8-4 victory at the number-two spot. Waynesburg's (8-4) doubles sweep was completed by junior
Rachel Wilson and senior
Madison DuBrock, who pulled out an 8-6 triumph at the third position.
La Roche (2-10), which was playing in its final match of the year, bounced back by winning four-of-six singles contests. Wilson completed the only 2-0 effort of the day when she earned a 6-1, 6-4 win at the number-three solo spot. Senior
Lauren Cowden moved up to the number-two spot and rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 victory to score a key win for the Orange and Black.
Waynesburg plays its final non-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match on Friday, Oct. 10, when it hosts Alderson Broaddus. Start time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
