Things to Watch For:

• Waynesburg's eight-game winning streak against Thiel is the program's longest such streak of success against any member of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC).

 

• While the offenses of both Waynesburg and Thiel are ranked closely together in the PAC standings (Waynesburg 33.6 ppg and Thiel 24.0 ppg), the two teams' defenses are at opposite ends of the conference rankings. The Yellow Jackets are giving up an average of 18.7 ppg, which is the best mark in the league, while the Tomcats give up 34.7 points per game, the highest mark in the PAC.

 

• Thiel's punt return unit hasn't had much to do this season, having returned just two kicks for a total of four years. No other team in the PAC has less than 10 punt returns on the year. Waynesburg ranks fifth in the conference in punt return average (8.8 ypr) over a league-high 30 returns.

 

• The Tomcat passing game will need to contend with a Jacket defense that has picked off the second-most passes in the league (8) for the second-most yardage in the PAC (159). Junior safety Mike Lopuchovsky leads the charge with a team-high four picks.
