WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 31) – After honoring its seniors in a pre-game ceremony, the Waynesburg University women's soccer team ended its 2014 season with a 3-1 win over visiting Saint Vincent on Friday night.
The Yellow Jackets (8-8-3, 4-4-1) notched the game's first goal when junior
Karleigh Murphey found the back of the net on an unassisted score just before the 20-minute mark of the first period. Saint Vincent (2-15-1, 2-6-1) retaliated with its only goal 10 minutes later to tie the contest at 1-1.
Waynesburg put the game away by out-scoring the Bearcats 2-0 in period number two. Freshman
Melanie Byler scored the eventual game-winning goal off a corner kick from sophomore
Chelsey Withers during the 68
th minute of play. Murphey tallied her team's final point of 2014 when she struck for her second goal of the night at the 69:30 mark of play.

Ciara Scott started and played 89:05 in net to pick up the win. She eventually turned things over to freshman
