WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Dec. 3) – The Waynesburg University women's basketball team showed no fear of unbeaten Thomas More when it opened up Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) on Wednesday. After falling behind by 15 at halftime, the Yellow Jackets played a much tighter second half before falling 89-68 to the Saints.
The Jackets (2-4, 0-1) pulled to within 12 points of third-ranked Thomas More (5-0, 1-0) early in the second half, before the visiting team was able to put the game away. Waynesburg stayed right with the Saints in terms of rebounding (44-43 in the Saints' favor) and shot a solid 80 percent from the free throw line.
Senior guard
Rebecca Kerr led the charge for Waynesburg by pouring in a team-high and personal collegiate best 24 points. Freshman forward
