Laura Heethuis with a 2-1 win over Heidelberg on Saturday. The victory gave the Yellow Jackets a two-game sweep of the Defiance College Purple and Gold Classic.
Waynesburg fell behind 1-0 after Heidelberg (0-1) broke up a scoreless tie just 1:30 second into the game. However, senior

Ciara Scott improved to 2-0 on the season after giving up one goal over 90 minutes of work for a second-straight start. The third-year starter made two saves.
Waynesburg will go for a third-straight victory to open the 2014 campaign on Tuesday, Sept. 2, when it hosts Franciscan University. Start time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
