Match Results BEAVER FALLS, Pa. (Sept. 12) – The Waynesburg University women's tennis team improved to 2-0 in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play by scoring a 6-3 road win over Geneva.
The Yellow Jackets, who moved to 4-1 overall on the season, were led by a trio of performers who went 2-0 on the day. Junior
Rachel Klemash led the charge with wins at first singles and first doubles. Klemash battled through an up-and-down 6-2, 1-6, 1-0 matchup at first singles after teaming up with senior
Alyssa Daniel for an equally thrilling 9-7 triumph at number-one doubles.
Daniel was another of Waynesburg's undefeated players on the afternoon. The veteran standout had an easier go of things at second singles, where she secured a 6-2, 6-3 victory.
Another Jacket senior,
Lauren Cowden, won in straight sets (7-5, 6-3) at number-five singles. That win came after an 8-2 decision at third doubles. Cowden teamed with junior
Emily McDonold for the victory.

Rachel Wilson completed the Jackets' half-dozen victories by taking her match at sixth singles in straight sets (6-4, 6-3).
Waynesburg wraps up a busy weekend tomorrow with a non-PAC road match at Muskingum University. Start time is scheduled for 12 p.m.
