CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. (Jan. 24) – The Waynesburg University women's basketball team dropped a 109-75 decision at number two Thomas More College in Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) action on Saturday afternoon.
With the setback, the Yellow Jackets fall to 8-9 overall and 5-5 in conference play. Thomas More improves to 17-0. The Saints are also unbeaten in ten PAC contests.
Waynesburg (8-9, 5-5) surrendered the first eight points of the game and never led over the entirety of the contest. After a three-pointer by senior
Rebecca Kerr cut the deficit to 12-5, Thomas More expanded its lead with a 29-9 run.
Junior point guard
Lauren Blair led the Yellow Jackets with 22 points, including a trio of three-pointers. Blair also added five assists to a solid day on the court. Senior guard
Rebecca Kerr was the only other Yellow Jacket to reach double-figures, totaling 11 points.
The Yellow Jackets will be back in action on Wednesday, January 28, when they host the Westminster Titans. Tipoff from the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
