WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 12) - The Waynesburg University women's tennis team defeated Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) foe Thiel, 8-1 on Monday. With the victory, the Yellow Jackets improved to 2-10 overall and 2-5 in conference play. Thiel fell to 1-10 and 1-6 versus PAC competition following the setback.

Waynesburg won five-of-six singles matches on its way to its second victory of the season. Senior
Rachel Klemash dropped just two games on her way to a 6-0, 6-2 win at first singles. Freshman

Rachel Wilson also scored straight-set wins from the second, third and fourth singles positions, respectively. Senior
Hannah Hixon solidified a fifth Waynesburg win in singles competition by registering a 6-1, 6-3 triumph in the sixth flight.

In doubles, the Yellow Jackets scored a sweep of all three matches with identical 8-2 scores.Â
