GREENVILLE, Pa. (Oct. 31) – The Waynesburg University women's volleyball team traveled to Thiel College for its final match of the 2015 campaign. The Yellow Jackets ended their season in style by sweeping the Tomcats 3-0.
Waynesburg (4-26, 4-14) took the contest by the set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-18 over Thiel (3-27, 3-15).
A pair of Jacket veterans led the charge to victory. Senior
Jessica Dorazio was a defensive force, as was evident by her 41 digs, which was 22 more than fellow senior
Meghan Balogh, who boasted the second-most digs in the match (19). Junior
Shannon Morgan, who played her final collegiate match, tied for the lead with 10 kills.
Freshman
Lexy Waldman matched her veteran teammate with 10 successful attacks, while freshman
Sydni Ayers helped out the offense with a match-high 34 assists.
