WASHINGTON, Pa. (April 1) – The Waynesburg University women's lacrosse team traveled to Washington & Jefferson College for an Ohio River Lacrosse Conference match on Wednesday at Alexandre Stadium. The home-standing Presidents seized an early advantage by scoring four of the game's first five goals, and the Yellow Jackets ultimately fell 16-7.
Waynesburg (3-5, 1-3) scored less than three minutes in, when senior
Kelly Mehal netted her ninth goal of the season to give the Yellow Jackets an early 1-0 lead. Washington & Jefferson (5-2, 3-0) responded with four different players scoring goals over the next eight minutes to take a 4-1 advantage. Another four-goal surge later in the period helped the Presidents expand the margin to 9-4 at halftime.
Following the break, Waynesburg managed to trim the deficit to four, but could not get any closer to erasing the gap, as W&J registered six of the final seven goals of the match.
Junior Mikayla Vidosh and sophomore

Wednesday's setback at W&J marked the final road contest for Waynesburg in 2015. The final six matches for the Yellow Jackets will be held at John F. Wiley Stadium in Waynesburg, beginning with a meeting with Hanover College on Saturday, April 4. Start time versus the Panthers is scheduled for 12 p.m.
