OBERLIN, Ohio (Sept. 11) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team hit the road to take on Oberlin College on Friday. The Yellow Jackets fell 8-1 to the Yeowomen.
Things started well for Waynesburg (2-1), which picked up the first goal of the game courtesy of sophomore
Nikki Davis, who took advantage of an assist from classmate
Melanie Byler during the 13
th minute of action. The lead lasted just over five minutes before Oberlin (1-2-1) knotted the score at 1-1. The home team added the eventual game winner in the 21
st minute.
Senior goalkeeper
Ciara Scott started and suffered her first loss in net after making one save over 65:21. Sophomore
Heather Fraser recorded four saves over 24:39 of relief work.
The Jackets return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 16, when they host Capital. Start time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
