The Yellow Jackets dropped an 8-1 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match to Geneva, before falling 7-2 against Marietta.
Waynesburg (0-6, 0-2) was led by senior
Rachel Wilson, who went 2-2 overall on the day. The Jacket veteran picked up a straight-set win at second singles against Marietta (2-4) by the scores of 7-6, 6-3. Wilson also teamed up with classmate
Emily McDonold to score an 8-0 triumph at second doubles in the same contest.
The Yellow Jackets' lone victory against Geneva (5-1, 3-1) came courtesy of the first singles duo of senior
Rachel Klemash and freshman
Aubree Brown. The pair downed their opponents 8-2.
Geneva completed a 2-0 day by defeating Marietta 7-2.
The Jackets are back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 22, with a road trip to Alderson Broaddus. Start time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
