WASHINGTON, Pa. (April 30) – The Waynesburg University softball team wrapped up its 2016 season on Saturday with a doubleheader at Washington & Jefferson. The Yellow Jackets bounced back from a 1-0 loss in the opener with a 7-0 triumph in game two.
Waynesburg (17-23, 8-10) got a fine effort from senior pitcher
Stephanie Kotomski in her final collegiate game in the circle. She allowed just one run on three singles and no walks, while striking out three Presidents (15-19, 10-8).
Game two saw a much different offensive output from the visitors, who cranked out 10 hits, including three from freshman designated player Cat Allstat. Allstat also drove in a game-high four runs, including two that came on a perfectly executed bunt single.

Jessica Dorazio saved one of her top offensive efforts for her final collegiate contest. She went two-for-three with two RBI and two runs scored. Freshman third baseman

Courtney Messenger concluded a fine freshman campaign by winning her 12
th decision of 2016. She gave up two doubles, two singles and no walks, while piling up five strikeouts.
