WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 1) – The Waynesburg University women's tennis team opened a new chapter in its existence on Thursday as the Yellow Jackets played their first match under head coach Ron Headlee. The Yellow Jackets welcomed Saint Vincent College to town for a non-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match and fell by an 8-1 final score.
 
After the Bearcats (1-0) swept the three doubles contests, sophomore Aubree Brown picked up Waynesburg's (0-1) only victory of the afternoon at first singles. Brown scored the win in straight sets (6-4, 6-3).
 
The Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 7, when they travel to Penn State Altoona. Start time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
