WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 27) – The Waynesburg University women's tennis team hosted Thiel on Tuesday for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup. The Tomcats took advantage of several tightly contested flights to pick up a 7-2 victory.
 
Though the Yellow Jackets (1-6, 1-4) managed to pick up just two wins on the day, Two-of-three doubles flights were determined by two games each. The day's sixth singles contest needed three sets before a winner was crowned.
 
Junior Wendy Wall picked up Waynesburg's first win of the day by defeating her opponent from Thiel (1-7, 1-3) 6-2, 6-2 at second singles. Senior Heidi Evans followed with a 6-4, 6-0 triumph at third singles.
 
The Jackets get right back to work tomorrow when they host Frostburg State. Start time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
