LATROBE, Pa. (Oct. 12) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team traveled to Saint Vincent for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets fell 3-0 to the Bearcats.
Saint Vincent (11-12, 4-8) took the contest by the set scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-12.
Waynesburg (1-18, 0-12) was led offensively by junior
Cassidy Guiser, who put down a team-high nine kills, doing so with a respectable .364 hitting percentage. Fellow juniors
Lexy Waldman and
Jordyn Wyllie contributed six and four successful attacks, respectively.
Freshman
Olivia Zuchelli helped out the offense with 20 assists from her setter position. The Jacket defensive effort was paced by sophomore
Alyssa Proper's 11 digs. Guiser and Wyllie each chipped in nine digs on the night.
The Jackets are back in action on Saturday, when they host Chatham for senior day. Start time for the PAC match is set for 12 p.m.
