WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 26) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team hosted Bethany for its annual Dig Pink patch to benefit Breast Cancer research on Thursday evening. The Yellow Jackets fell 3-0 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest, which was Waynesburg's final home date of the season.
The Bison (20-11, 11-6) took the match by the set scores of 25-15, 26-24, 25-14.
The Yellow Jackets (1-23, 0-17) were led offensively by juniors
Cassidy Guiser and
Jordyn Wyllie, who put down seven and six kills, respectively. Sophomore
Jordan Simpson tied for the match lead with three total blocks, while sophomore
Alyssa Proper did the same with 10 digs.
Waynesburg wraps up its 2017 season on Saturday, Oct. 28, when it takes part in a tri-match at Westminster. The Yellow Jackets face the host Titans at 11 a.m., before wrapping up their season with a non-conference match against Otterbein at 1 p.m.
