WAYNESBURG, Pa. (April 29) – The Waynesburg University women's lacrosse team wrapped up its 2017 season on Saturday with a home Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) match against Hanover. The Yellow Jackets fell 16-6 to the visiting Panthers after celebrating senior day.

Holly Bachman kept the Jackets within striking distance early in the contest. Unfortunately, five-straight goals by Hanover (9-7, 6-3) turned a 4-2 deficit into an inescapable 9-2 hole.
Seniors
Shannon Morgan and
Angelica Sabatini found the back of the net before the end of the first period, as the Panthers took a 10-4 lead into halftime. The visitors closed out the win by outscoring Waynesburg 6-2 in the second half.
Bachman, who graduates as Waynesburg's all-time leader in goals (127) and total points (144) scored twice in her final collegiate game. Freshman goalkeeper
Christina Bauer made nine saves over 60 minutes in goal.
The start of the game was delayed 50 minutes by lightning.
