WAYNESBURG, Pa. (April 10) – Junior pitcher 
Courtney Messenger stole the show during Tuesday's home Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) doubleheader against Chatham. The Yellow Jacket ace put together 12 scoreless innings to collect two shutouts against the Cougars.
 
Waynesburg (10-10, 3-3) needed just five innings to down Chatham (2-16, 0-6) 8-0 in game one. A pair of fifth-inning runs sealed a 3-0 Jacket victory in game two.
 
Messenger scattered 10 hits over her two latest wins. She logged six strikeouts and didn't walk an opposing hitter. Chatham hit .217 against the righty.
 
The Jacket offense was paced by junior outfielder 
Cat Allstatt, who went four-for-five at the plate with two RBI and two runs scored. She also was successful on both of her stolen base attempts.
 
Freshman infielder 
Tara Staley notched a double and a triple over the sweep. Freshman outfielder 
Marlee Ott scored a pair of runs, while sophomore 
Rachel Skon drove in two of her own.
 
The Jackets continue a very busy week of competition on Friday, when they host Thomas More. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
