Women's lacrosse closes out 2018

Waynesburg falls to visiting Earlham

WAYNESBURG, Pa. (April 28) – The Waynesburg University women's lacrosse team wrapped up its 2018 season on Saturday when it hosted Earlham for senior day. The Yellow Jackets dropped the Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) contest 17-2.
 
After falling behind 10-0 in the first half, Waynesburg (0-15, 0-11) got its first goal of the day from sophomore Jackie Adler. Freshman Breanna Martini assisted on the tally. Earlham (5-11, 4-7) found the back of the net one more time before the end of the half to take an 11-1 lead into the break.
 
The Yellow Jackets' final goal of the season came with 22:38 showing on the game clock when junior Delaney Denniston split the pipes in a man-up situation to make the score 12-2.
 
Senior Carissa Doody was solid in goal during her final collegiate game. She stopped 15-of-32 shots on goal while playing all 60 minutes.
