LATROBE, Pa. (Oct. 4) – The Waynesburg University women's tennis team hit the road on Friday for an afternoon Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match at Saint Vincent. The Yellow Jackets fell 7-2 to the host Bearcats.
 
SVC (7-2, 3-2) took an early advantage in the match by sweeping the three doubles contests. The host team closed out the win in the early singles flights, before Waynesburg (1-7, 0-4) broke up the shutout at fifth and sixth singles. Senior Sierra Stevens (Bellwood, Pa. / Bellwood-Antis) and freshman Hayley Sweeney (Johnstown, Pa. / Richland) took their contests in straight sets.
 
The Jackets are back in action on Sunday, Oct. 6, when they travel to Frostburg State. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
