Box Score GREENSBURG, Pa. (Sept. 17) – Things looked bad for the Waynesburg University volleyball team during Tuesday night's match at Pitt-Greensburg. The Yellow Jackets fell behind 2-0 and appeared as though they would drop a second match this season to the host Bobcats. However, Waynesburg wasn't going away quietly and rallied for one of the most memorable wins in recent program history.
UPG (2-10) scored a resounding 25-14 victory in set one and followed that with a 25-21 triumph in set two. Waynesburg (2-8) was staring defeat in the face as it was down 23-21 in the third set. However, the visitors responded to the challenge with four-straight points to take the set.
Set four saw the road team explode out of a 12-10 hole by with a 10-point surge the put it ahead 20-12. The Bobcats stopped the bleeding to make the score 20-13, but the Orange and Black didn't let up, scoring five of the final seven points and tying the match with a 25-15 win.
Set five was more of the same as the Jackets fell into an early hole, only to use a big run to pass up the Bobcats and seal the win. Waynesburg trailed 5-2 and 6-5 before ripping off eight-straight points to take a 13-6 lead. UPG cut into the deficit with its final point, but the Jackets completed the comeback with back-to-back kills that brought about the final set score of 15-7.

The Jackets return to the court on Thursday, Sept. 26, when they head to Washington & Jefferson. Start time for the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match is scheduled for 7 p.m.
