WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Jan. 18) – The Waynesburg University women's basketball team welcomed Thiel to the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse on Saturday for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) matchup. The Yellow Jackets were victorious in front of their home fans by the final score of 93-40.

Waynesburg (3-13, 2-5) scored the first eight points of the game on its way to building a 23-7 lead by the end of the first quarter. The Jackets extended their advantage over the Tomcats (0-15, 0-7) to 49-21 by the time the two squads broke for halftime.

The Jacket defense again held Thiel to less than 10 points in the third, as the home team won the period 21-6. The Orange and Black put the finishing touches on the win by outscoring the opposition 23-13 over the final 10 minutes of play.
