Football wraps up 2021 season

Yellow Jackets travel to Washington & Jefferson

WASHINGTON, Pa. (Nov .13) – The Waynesburg University football team traveled to Washington & Jefferson on Saturday for the annual Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Backyard Brawl. The Presidents won the rivalry game by the final score of 55-0.
 
Senior running back Nick Hall (Fayette City, Pa. / Bell Vernon) ended the season by tying for the game lead in rushingwith 85 yards on 21 carries. Over the past two weeks, Hall has totaled 250 yards on the ground for the Yellow Jackets (2-8, 2-7).
 
Freshman James Davis (Kersey, Pa. / Saint Mary's) put a tremendous cap on a productive first collegiate season by piling up a game-high 17 tackles, which was the second-highest single-game total for any individual in the PAC this season.  His 16 solo stops were easily the most for any conference player this year. Davis also logged 2.0 tackles for loss and a sack against the Presidents (8-2, 7-2).
