Finished 12th out of 20 teams at the 2020 NCAA Division III Southeast Regional Championships. Rocky McGeary won the 285-pound title at the event and qualified for the NCAA Division III National Championships.

A Look Inside the Hive
The Yellow Jackets finally get to open the 2020-21 season and will be led by its sophomore class. The trio of second-year standouts features Rocky McGeary (McDonald, Pa. / West Allegheny), who was on his way to last year's NCAA Division III National Championships before they were cancelled by the Covid-19 pandemic. McGeary won PAC and NCAA Division III Southeast Regional titles at 285 pounds and enters this year ranked in the top four by four different national wrestling organizations. Classmate Colby Morris (Waynesburg, Pa. / Waynesburg Central) is back after earning the 157-pound Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) crown. Harley Constable (Smithfield, Pa. / Albert Gallatin) was a PAC runner-up at 133 pounds and showed marked improvement throughout his debut collegiate season.
 
Scouting the Lakers
As a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association, Garrett College only holds onto its athletes for two years at a time. This year's squads features a pair of NCAA scholarship transfers. Redshirt freshman Trey Weinell comes to Garrett from Division I Edinboro after a standout high school career at Derry Area High School in Pennsylvania. Speaking of Pennsylvania grapplers, redshirt freshman Brady Villa, who starred at Tussey Mountain High School, joined the Lakers after first attending Division II Shippensburg.
