A Look Inside the Hive
Waynesburg comes into tonight's game riding a two-game winning streak with both victories coming by at least 19 points. Despite already facing the top-three scoring offenses in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC), the Yellow Jackets boast the third-best scoring defense in the league at 68.8 points allowed per game. When it comes to offense, the Jackets have leaned on junior forward Isaiah Alonzo (Chandler, Ariz. / Tri-City Christian Academy), who is the fourth-leading scorer in the PAC at 18.8 points per game. Alonzo is also the number-four rebounder in the league at 9.2 boards per contest. The 6-10 forward is particularly effective at the free throw line, where he has shot a league-best 94.1 percent (17-of-18). That number is good for 14^th in all of Division III. Freshman forward Jansen Knotts (Ridgeley, W.Va. / Frankfort) has been a revelation in his first collegiate year. The reigning PAC Rookie of the Week is averaging 11.0 points. 9.0 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game.   
 
Scouting the Cougars
The Cougars snapped a brief two-game losing streak by downing Franciscan 94-82 on Monday. The victors blew open a one-point game at halftime by dropping 52 points on the Barons in the second half to pull away for the win. Four Chatham players scored between 16 and 22 points in the victory. Senior Malik Potter was the game's leading scorer and added seven rebounds to a productive night. Sophomore Marcos Cintron and junior Markell Riggins dished out six assists each in the victory. Potter comes into tonight's game averaging a Chatham-best 18.3 points per game. Cintron (16.3 ppg) and sophomore Brandon Lavernia (13.8 ppg) are also averaging double digits in scoring on the season.
