A Look Inside the Hive
Senior Andrea Orlosky (Shelocta, Pa. / West Shamokin) did everything she could individually to try and help lead a comeback against Westminster this past Saturday, but Waynesburg ultimately came up short 65-58. Orlosky tallied 26 points and 15 boards, and the former All-PAC performer is currently leading the PAC in points per game (22.0), rebounds per game (12.0) and minutes per game (38.0). Junior Brooke Fuller added 14 points and five rebounds in the effort. Sophomore Anika Dansby (Massillon, Ohio / Washington) contributed 11 points, three rebounds and a team-high three assists on the afternoon. Despite trailing by as much as 23 points, the Yellow Jackets battled back to just a two-basket game in the fourth quarter before the host team closed out the victory.

Scouting the Golden Tornadoes
Geneva features second-team All-PAC performer Lauren Tipton, who is averaging 12.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game through two games in 2020-21. Last season she was one of the top scorers (18.2 ppg) and rebounders (12.4 rpg) in the PAC and her season featured a monster effort against Thiel in which she scored 40 points and brought down 27 rebounds, the most in a single game in PAC history. Along with Tipton, the Golden Tornadoes have gotten strong efforts from a supporting cast that includes freshman Cynthia Stewart. Stewart has made an early impression on the conference, averaging 12.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 4.5 steals per contest through two games. Freshman Abby King has also been off to a strong start, averaging 9.5 points and 6.5 rebounds, while sophomore Tess Liggett has put up an admirable 10.0 points and 5.0 rebounds to this point. With multiple players contributing on the stat sheet, Geneva boasts a balanced attack that has been hindered mostly by a .192 three-point shooting percentage (15-78).
