WASHINGTON, Pa. (March 13) – The Waynesburg University women's lacrosse team opened its 2020-21 season on Saturday with a road trip to Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opponent Washington & Jefferson. The Yellow Jackets fell 23-2 to the Presidents.
 
Sophomore Hannah Rosenberger (Bruceton Mills, W.Va. / Preston) tallied both Jacket goals in the first half. Junior Lily Portman (Roaming Shoe, Ohio / Grand Valley) picked up an assist on Waynesburg's (0-1, 0-1) first score of the contest.
 
Senior Riley Yoder (Lancaster, Ohio / Fisher Catholic) recorded five saves in goal for the Orange and Black.
 
Waynesburg is back in action on Sunday, March 21, when it makes a road trip to Chatham. Start time is scheduled for 2:05 p.m.
