STUEBENVILLE, Ohio (April 20) – The Waynesburg University women's lacrosse team traveled to Franciscan on Tuesday for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match with the Barons. The Yellow Jackets fell by the final score of 19-5.
Franciscan (4-3, 2-3) built up a 7-0 lead over the first eight minutes, before Waynesburg (0-9, 0-5) broke up the shutout with a goal from sophomore
Hannah Rosenberger (Bruceton Mills, W.Va. / Preston). Sophomore
Eve O'Sullivan (Latrobe, Pa. / Greater Latrobe) posted the Jackets' second goal of the game that made the score 8-2 with 16:04 remaining in the first half.
O'Sullivan scored again just over 10 minutes later to make the score 11-3. Franciscan posted the final goal of the half just before the end of the opening period to take a 12-3 advantage into the break.
Franciscan ripped off the first five goals of the second half to go up 17-3. Waynesburg broke up the run with a goal by Rosenberger with 8:52 remaining in the contest. The second-year standout completed a hat trick to close out the Jackets' scoring with 6:01 left to play.

Riley Yoder (Lancaster, Ohio / Fisher Catholic) started and played all 60 minutes between the pipes. She tallied 11 saves in her most recent complete-game effort.
Waynesburg is scheduled to wrap up the season on Saturday, April 24. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
