GREENVILLE, Pa. (Jan. 28) – The Waynesburg University wrestling team traveled to Thiel on Friday night for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match. The Yellow Jackets fell 42-6.
 
Junior heavyweight Rocky McGeary (McDonald, Pa. / West Allegheny) capped a rough night on the mat for the Yellow Jackets (2-10, 0-2) with a pin in 4:03 at 285 pounds. Speaking of heavyweight winners, sophomore Trent Patrick (Delmont, Pa. / Greensburg Salem) scored a fall in an extra bout.
 
The Jackets conclude the regular season portion of their schedule on Sunday, Jan. 30, when they travel to Westminster, Maryland, for a tri-match. Waynesburg faces Averett as well as the host school, McDaniel. Action is scheduled to get going at 1 p.m., with the Jackets' first match scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
