WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 16) – The Waynesburg University women's soccer team celebrated senior day on Saturday by welcoming the number-two team in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC). After visiting Westminster found the back of the net late in the 32
nd minute, the Jackets not only weathered the Titan attack, but were able to put some pressure on the visiting goal as well. Unfortunately, the host squad was unable to find an equalizer and suffered a 1-0 setback.
Westminster (10-3-1, 6-1-0) tallied the game winner late in the 32
nd minute as part of a 27-shot barrage that included eight attempts on goal. After allowing the only score of the day, senior goalkeeper
Kennedy Schuck (Marietta, Ohio / Marietta) posted 57:09 shutout minutes to keep her team in contention for an upset win. Schuck logged seven saves on the day.
Waynesburg plays its final road game of the 2022 regular season on Wednesday, Oct. 19, when it travels to Grove City. Start time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
