WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 5) – After celebrating senior day, the Waynesburg University women's tennis team hit its home courts for a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match against Geneva on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets fell by the final score of 9-0.
 
Senior Marina Hastings (Shippensburg, Pa. / Shippensburg) put together arguably the Yellow Jackets' (1-6, 0-5) top performance against the Golden Tornadoes (6-4, 3-4). Hastings pushed her opponent to the limit in set one of her match at second singles, but came up just short by a 7-5 score.
 
Freshman Audrey Dennis (Sistersville, W.Va. / Tyler Consolidated) nearly stretched her battle at fourth singles to a third set, but dropped a 6-4 final score in set two.
 
Waynesburg is back in action on Friday, Oct. 7, when it hosts Allegheny for a PAC match. Start time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
