FREDERICK, Md. (Dec. 30) – The Waynesburg University men's basketball team snuck in one final game before the end of 2022 when it made a road trip to Hood College on Friday. The Yellow Jackets fell 109-51 to the Blazers in a non-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) contest.
Hood (7-5) scored the game's first five points and led 23-4 after six minutes to take firm control of the contest. Waynesburg (3-7) trailed 58-24 at halftime, before the game came to its conclusion.

Jake Scheidt (Saxonburg, Pa. / Knoch) added eight points. Junior
Jansen Knotts (Ridgeley, W.Va. / Frankfort) pulled down a squad-best seven rebounds.
Waynesburg will look to get 2023 off on the right foot when it hosts Grove City for a PAC matchup at the Rudy Marisa Fieldhouse on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
