GREENSBURG, Pa. (March 23) – The Waynesburg University men's tennis team opened the spring portion of its 2021-22 schedule with a road match at Pitt Greensburg. The Yellow Jackets swept through the day's doubles matches en route to a 7-2 win over the Bobcat.

Joey English (Smithfield, Pa. / Homeschooled) and sophomore
Ethan Lown (Lebanon, Pa. / Elizabethtown) got things rolling with an 8-5 win at first doubles. Graduate student
Conor Cassidy (Huntingtown, Md. / Huntingtown) teamed up with freshman
Rory Montreuil to make it 2-0 after logging an 8-3 triumph at the number-two spot. Junior
Michael Saliba (New Kensington, Pa. / Valley) and sophomore
Adam Huckstein (Saxonburg, Pa. / Knoch) completed the sweep with an 8-5 victory at third doubles.
Cassidy, Lown, Montreuil and Saliba all took their singles matches in straight sets to close out the win.
The Jackets are back in action on Friday, March 25, when they host Saint Vincent to open Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) competition. Start time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
