WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Oct. 16) – Junior
Jordan Stein (Manor, Pa. / Norwin) has proven to be one of the top defensive players in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) this season. To honor her latest efforts, which included her surpassing a major personal milestone, Stein was named Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Defensive Player of the Week.
Stein tallied 62 digs over a pair of matches (nine sets) this past week for a 6.89 digs per set average. The junior standout eclipsed 1,000 collegiate digs by racking up a personal-best 45 digs in a 3-2 win over Westminster on Wednesday. Thanks in part to her efforts, Waynesburg secured its first win over Westminster since 2005 and ended a 32-match losing streak to the Titans.
She added a team-high 17 digs during Saturday's home match against Washington & Jefferson. Heading into this week, Stein currently ranks first in the PAC in terms of digs per set (5.95).
