PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Nov. 1) – The Waynesburg University volleyball team traveled to Presidents' Athletic Conference PAC) opponent Chatham on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets fell 3-0 to the host Cougars.
Chatham (16-5, 8-1) took the match by the set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-16.
Waynesburg (8-16, 1-8) was led offensively by junior
Emma Hyatt (Carmichaels, Pa. / Carmichaels), who put down a team-high five kills. She also posted a pair of blocks. Sophomore
Riley Ruffley (Bedford, Pa. / Bedford) helped out the offense with a squad-best 10 assists.
Junior
Jordan Stein (Manor, Pa. / Norwin) logged a Waynesburg-best 15 digs, while senior
Mickayla Baniaga (Kalihi, Hawaii / Kamehameha Schools Kapalama) chipped in 12.
The Jackets wrap up the 2023 season on Saturday with a home match against Allegheny. Waynesburg will celebrate senior day prior to the start of the 1 p.m. match.
