GROVE CITY, Pa. (April 11) – The Waynesburg University women's lacrosse team traveled to Grove City yesterday for a President's Athletic Conference (PAC) match on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets fell 22-0 to the Wolverines.
Grove City (5-7. 3-1 PAC) started quickly with a pair of goals in the opening minute and added seven more in the first quarter to hold a 9-0 lead after the first 15 minutes of play before securing its most recent victory.
Freshman
Diana Gurecka (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Seton LaSalle) made her first collegiate start in goal for Waynesburg (2-8, 0-4) and posted a game-high and career-best 11 saves.
Junior
Madey Hill and senior
Rachel Caldwell each posted a team-best four ground balls on the day.
The Yellow Jackets return to the field on Saturday for Senior Day when they host Bethany in a 1 p.m. PAC contest at John F. Wiley Stadium.
