WASHINGTON, Pa. (April 15) – The Waynesburg University men's tennis team traveled to Washington & Jefferson for a Friday afternoon Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match. The Yellow Jackets fell 6-3 to the host Presidents.
Waynesburg (0-9, 0-6) was led by the duo of junior
Ethan Lown (Lebanon, Pa. / Elizabethtown) and senior
Michael Saliba (New Kensington, Pa. / Valley), who both earned victories in singles and doubles play.
The pair opened its day by rolling to an 8-3 win at first doubles, before splitting up for solo competition. Lown defeated his opponent 6-3, 6-1 at the number-one spot, while Saliba bested his opponent at third singles 6-4, 6-4.
The Jackets are back in action on Monday, April 17, when they host Grove City for another PAC contest. Start time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
