NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (April 30) – The Waynesburg University women's lacrosse team wrapped up the 2023 season on Sunday with a trip to Westminster. The Yellow Jackets fell 17-2 to the Titans.
Westminster (6-11, 4-6) led 8-0 at halftime, before senior
Tori Meiklejohn (Boonsboro, Md. / Boonsboro) broke up the shutout with the first goal of the third quarter. The Titans bounced back by scoring twice, before Meiklejohn recorded Waynesburg's (3-14, 0-10) final goal of the spring.
Senior
Eve O'Sullivan (Latrobe, Pa. / Greater Latrobe) piled up a game-high seven groundballs in her final collegiate contest, while junior
Madey Hill (Hagerstown, Md. / North Hagerstown) scooped up six groundballs of her own. O'Sullivan also won a contest-best six draw controls and caused a squad-high five turnovers.
Sophomore
Anna Bradley (Bridgeville, Pa. / South Fayette) put together one of her best efforts of the spring, as she piled up 14 saves over 60 minutes in goal.
