Trafford, Pa. (Jan.22) -- Waynesburg University senior mens basketball standout Antone Baker (Maple Heights, Ohio / Maple Heights) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his pair of dominant performances in the Yellow Jackets' two PAC victories last week.

Baker averaged 23 points, nine rebounds, three blocks and two steals and went 20-of-32 (63%) from the field as the Jackets posted come-from-behind wins over Westminster on Wednesday and Bethany on Saturday.

In Wednesday night's matchup with the Titans, Baker hit a pull-up, go-ahead jumper just inside the arc with 14 seconds left to give the Jackets a 72-71 lead. On the ensuing possession, Baker blocked a potential go-ahead 3-pointer and made a leaping save to keep the ball in play, giving Waynesburg possession and sealing the win.

Baker finished Wednesday's victory with 20 points on 9-of-14 from the field to go with a game-best three blocks and six rebounds.

In Saturday's improbable Waynesburg comeback against Bethany, Baker totaled a game-best 26 points on 11-of-18 from the field and a game-high-tying 12 rebounds (nine offensive). He added a contest-high-tying three blocks to go with two steals in the win.

Baker leads the conference in blocks per game (1.9), is fourth in field-goal percentage (55.8%), tied for fifth in rebounds per game (8.1) and tied for eight in points per game (17.0).
