SANDUSKY, Ohio (December 14) – The Waynesburg University men's wrestling team squared off with four opponents at the Berg Holiday Duals, hosted by Heidelberg at the Cedar Point Sports Center on Saturday.

The Yellow Jackets were defeated by Trine (29-15), John Carroll (48-4), Otterbein (27-6) and Alma (45-10).

Jessie Orbin (Houston, Pa. / Chartiers-Houston) went 4-0 on the day with a technical fall and two major decisions at 184 pounds. Jacob Wilson (Wills Point, Texas / Princeton) had a pair of victories at 174.

The Jackets earned victories in four weight classes against Trine. JT Hollyfield (Oakdale, Pa. / West Allegheny) (149), Orbin (184) and Ayden Bishoff ) Kingwood, W.Va. / Preston) (197) each earned major decision victories at their respective weight classes. Wilson earned a 12-9 victory at 174 pounds.

Orbin was Waynesburg's lone winner against John Carroll. He took a 13-5 major decision against JCU and added a 2-1 victory over Otterbein's Gary Steele. Wilson edged Otterbein's Josh Taylor 7-6.

In the finale against Alma, Seth Evans (Sharon, Pa. / Sharon) and Orbin both notched technical falls. Evans won 17-0 at 157 and Orbin was a 16-0 winner at 184.

 Waynesburg hosts Hiram on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
