NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (April 1) – The Waynesburg University men's tennis team was defeated 8-1 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match at Westminster on Monday evening.
The Jackets fall to 1-6 on the season and 0-3 in PAC play. Westminster picks up its first win of the season and moves to 1-2, 1-2 PAC.
The Titans took a 3-0 lead with wins at each doubles flight.
Ethan Lown (Lebanon, Pa. / Elizabethtown) took a 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles to notch the Jackets' lone point of the day.
Shane Hughes battled in the first set but fell 7-5, 6-0 at No. 5 singles.
Keegan Raabe (Tyrone, Pa. / Tyrone) won four games in a 6-1, 6-3 defeat at third singles.
Waynesburg travels to Penn State Altoona for a nonconference matchup on Thursday.
