ON WAYNESBURGÂ
The Jackets head to Saint Vincent in search of their first win. Waynesburg contended with (RV) Washington & Jefferson and a two-and-a-half-hour weather delay in week three. The Jackets had a turnover on downs inside the W&J five yard-line, a punt blocked and allowed four scoring plays passes over 20 yards (two over 50 yards). The Jackets won the turnover battle (2-1) and set season highs with two interceptions and a pair of red zone touchdowns, as the Jackets scored 16 points on four trips inside the Presidents' 20 yard-line.
ON SAINT VINCENT
Saint Vincent welcomes Waynesburg for the middle of the Bearcats' three-game homestand after starting the year with consecutive road games. SVC fell 56-7 to No. 9 Grove City in the its home opener last week. The Bearcats were 41-20 winners over Allegheny in week two as SVC notched three interceptions and rushed for over 200 yards and three touchdowns. Last week against Grove City, the Wolverines scored three-straight second quarter touchdowns to turn a 7-0 game into a 28-0 halftime lead and never looked back.
THE SERIES (WAYNESBURG LEADS 22-16-4)
The Jackets notched their first shutout since 2014 in last year's 24-0 victory over the Bearcats. Waynesburg has won 10 of 17 games against SVC since the Bearcats reinstated football since 2007. Waynesburg notched its first win of the season on Alumni Day by setting season-highs in total offense (411), time of possession (36:50) and yards allowed (138).
Justin Flack ran for 125 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns.
Dakota Romantino reeled in eight passes for 132 yards.
Samuel Barber completed 17-of-26 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns. The Jackets had zero giveaways for the only time in 2023 and finished a season-best plus-two in the turnover margin. Waynesburg held the Bearcats to 23 rushing yards on 20 attempts (1.1 yards per rush). The Jacket defense set or matched single-game highs in tackles for loss (7.0), sacks (3.0), forced fumbles (3) and pass break ups (5).
NO FLY ZONE
Saint Vincent enters the contest with the most interceptions in the PAC with five on the year. Sophomore defensive back Robbie Labuda leads the PAC with three interceptions while Purry comes in at second with two. Waynesburg comes into the matchup placing second in the PAC with interceptions, with sophomore

Quilik Wooten each recording an interception.
RED ZONE REDEMPTION
After notching one touchdown on Waynesburg's first six red zone trips of the season, Waynesburg scored 16 points in the Jackets' final three trips inside the W&J 20-yard line in week three.
Carson Shriver had a one-yard TD plunge,
